Collect photos and stories at an event
Storyworth Celebrations are the easiest way to capture memories, photos, and wishes from everyone in a beautiful keepsake book. They’re often organized ahead of time as a group gift for a birthday, anniversary, or retirement, but did you know you can also collect memories and photos during an event?
Just print and display your book’s QR code at your celebration. People can scan it to join the project and start adding photos and memories to your book while you’re all together.
Below are two types of occasions where collecting stories and photos on the day of an event can result in a great Celebration Book to give as a gift or keep for yourself.
During a celebration
Weddings, anniversary parties, milestone birthdays, and bar or bat mitzvahs are all happy occasions that bring together everyone you love to celebrate. That makes for the perfect opportunity to collect highlights and photos from the event, along with memories and stories from the past.
Display your QR code prominently at the party, and everyone gathered can join the project to contribute their thoughts, wishes, and photos right away. If someone signs up with the QR code but doesn’t end up sharing at the event, we’ll send them an email reminder later, giving them another opportunity after the event. Either way, you’ll be able to invite everyone in the person’s or couple’s life with almost no effort.
At a memorial
With everyone who loved them present, a memorial or funeral can be a natural place to invite people to contribute to a memorial book. While mourners may not want to share memories on that day, the QR code will allow them to join the project, enabling them to share stories and photos when they’re able. If you set a target date for when you’d like to print your memorial book, we’ll keep everyone on track with gentle reminders.
Bringing everyone together to share stories and memories can be a meaningful way to process your grief and pay tribute to a loved one. You may be surprised by the new stories you hear, and you’ll get the unique opportunity to see them through others’ eyes. Together, you can create a treasured keepsake you can all cherish.
