I wouldn't quite say that I, you know, when I went up the stairs, I was one person. And when I came down, I was another, but it was an absolutely pivotal moment in my life. It was just an immense intellectual, emotional effort and journey fueled by this combination, and there should be a word for it, but a sort of energy arising out of a combination of grief and love and just a resistance to surrendering everything to death.
